The unknown in this story is the oncoming of the incline into Africa. A religion is brought to the villages, and new shipway of thinking arise. Overall, the African village Okonkwo knew and grew up in slowly begins to disappear. Okonkwo is not only afraid for himself but for his faultless village. He is afraid that his culture pass on vanish and be forgotten by the younger generations.  Achebe is able to show the reader his intentions at the very beginning of the book by including a retell from W.B. Yeats poem The Second Coming Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer Things fall apart the center cannot reserve Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world. Achebe lets the reader know from the beginning that Nigerias rich cultural heritage is falling apart and that there will be no quick-witted ending. The life of Okonkwo symbolizes the life and richness of the tribe and village. As the story progresses Okonkwos life begins to go downhill and so does that of the village. The story ends with the death of Okonkwo and the death of an entire civilization. The colonials have taken over the village the children no longer believe in the old ways. Things fall apart and no one wants to put them choke off together. Life goes on with the invasion of the English, but never will it be the same.  Achebe was born and raised in a large village in Nigeria. He was also educated in Nigeria. After a short career in radio, Achebe began to lecture abroad and settled for a while as an English professor at the University of Massachusetts.

Nobody dared to go near the Radley property, children were afraid of being killed. Meanwhile, Jem and Scout were minding their business one summer afternoon when they met Charles Baker Harris, ( dill weed). Dill was staying with Miss Rachel, who lived next door to The Finchs, for the summer. Dill, Jem, and Scout became quite good friends, and played many games. Their favorite was to reenact plays like Dracula, and Tarzan. They also talked about Boo, and the more Dill knew about Boo, the more interested he was. Soon Dill had the idea of getting Mr. Radley to come out of his house. At first Dill dared Jem to go inside the house and get Boo out, but after three days of pestering him, he changed it to Jem had to touch the house. Governments are trying to come up with alternatives to gasoline to improve or at least not hurt our environment as much as gasoline does. For example, Des Moines has a public bus system, but not real many people use it and the busses do not reach all parts of the city. As a result, many people drive themselves to work preferably of taking the bus and saving gasoline. Since I was looking for a conservative caudex to start with, the first restriction I put was that the stock be a section of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Another restriction I added was that its P/E ratio be the baseest possible and that the EPS Year to Year be above 13%. After running the search I got 20 matches. The top three were Exxon, SBC Communications and American Express. After researching them a bit more I refractory that Exxon would be a widely option because it was a solid company that had a pretty stable history. After analyzing its fundamentals and taking into account the wage increase prices of gasoline, I decided Exxon would be a good long-term investment. I bought 115 shares of Exxon at $43.36 The second stock I am looking for is a value stock. I want to get a good solid company and buy it for a bargain. I bought 120 shares of Lo ews at $53.01. Now that I had value in my portfolio I decided to look for a good growth stock that had a positive momentum recently outperforming the market. I still am not sure I want to invest in a technology stock because of their volatility and risk. I used a similar screen to the OShaughnessy Growth screen.
